Vintage Warehouse

A lovely friend of mine recently introduced me to a vintage warehouse. This place is huge, filled to the brim of amazing vintage finds and freezing in the winter but oh so worth it. It is extremely hard to not spend at least a couple (and by a couple... I really mean at least three) hours wandering up and down the isles and it is even harder to not walk out without at least one purchase.

Mason jars, children's books, lamps, chairs, clothes, glass bottles, tea cups, film cameras, pretty tins, clocks, prints, frames, globes - you will find all of these things.

One of my purchases (of many) were several little American matchbooks, decades old - purely for design and typography inspiration.

The last two photographs are of my friend Alissa carrying out her sweet (and I must add cheap) find - furnished with a mustard seat cover... could this be any better?

Wholesale Antiques is located: 11a Aristoc Rd, Glen Waverley, Melbourne.
Open seven days a week 10am - 5pm.

    1. Aww, is there anything like this is in Pasadena? America always seems to have a lot more lovely vintage things (well it seems that way on Etsy) - a lot of the store holders that I spoke to go to the States once or twice a year to source their vintage items.
There were so many adorable clocks. I especially loved this blue one because of the shape and the typography : )

    2. Nothing like this in Maryland that I know of. We have lots of antique stores but you sure pay for what you want.

    3. I know what you mean - most antique stores I will not even go in because I don't really like window shopping ; )
